Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles. We service a wide range of diesel engines from small, 1-cylinder engines to semi-trucks. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for ensuring that vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Complete engine overhauls and rebuilds.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician, with a recommended minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and stay updated on new technologies and advancements in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
